Hands Up Against Lupus provides education awareness to the community through seminars and programs designed to assist lupus survivors in their everyday life. The foundation is organized and led by Tera Davis Adams. Tera is a Lupus survivor and advocate.
Tera Adams is philanthropist, motivational speaker, Author, and Lupus survivor. She has spoken about life beyond Lupus at organizations across South Carolina such as Tarsha Mirage-Bowman Lupus Luncheon, Zion Canaan Baptist Church, After The Storm Lupus Luncheon, The Butterfly Effect Fashion Show, Fight Like A Girl Lupus Fashion Show, Lupus Awareness Prayer Breakfast. - Raise money for the National Lupus Foundation, to help find a cure for Lupus
- Help Individuals with Lupus, who cannot afford their medications
- Give out one to two scholarships to students whose parents have lupus
- Sponsor community events
- Sponsor Lupus walks and fundraisers
